Silas Falokun

Dr. Silas Falokun is an adjunct professor of business studies at Alvin Community College, Alvin.  He received his B.A. (Ed) from the University of Ilorin and a master’s degree (M.B.A) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. In 2016, Dr. Falokun received his doctoral degree from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ.  His previous professional experience includes the various mid- and top-level management positions in private and public organizations in Nigeria and the United States.  After his ten years of services (three of these as a supervisor) at Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Dr. Falokun worked as special and regular education teacher in two public schools in Texas. He is a full-time behavior intervention instructor in a prison school and a state-approved provider of drug offender education program. Dr. Falokun operates online drug and behavior intervention classes. An astute educationist and intermittent contributor to vital issues on a local radio, Dr. Falokun loves to write and publish short fiction books for children and teach in his church. In collaboration with friends and colleagues, he is currently working on some important projects to help ex-offenders and people with anger and addiction problems.  He can be contacted at
