TUMI education is ideal for:

• Urban pastors who desire further training
• Individuals encouraged by their pastor to pursue Christian leadership training
• Lay leaders seeking theological education and training
• Established leaders, church planters, and/or urban ministry volunteers
• Volunteers in urban ministries who seek to understand urban missions
• Individuals called to serve the Kingdom of God in an urban, city context

Getting Started

There are two prerequisites that a student must meet before enrolling at The Urban Ministry Institute of Houston:

• The student must be actively involved in a Christian church and able to secure a Pastor’s recommendation for his or her involvement in the TUMI program.
• The student must be engaged in some form of Christian ministry or in a leadership role that will allow him or her to directly apply concepts learned in the TUMI classroom.
